David was tasked by Bryan Clay (Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist Beijing Games) to help develop and open a 501(c) charitable foundation. He was starting from scratch, but they knew what they wanted to do. I helped by getting the foundation charter and tax ID established with tremendous input from David. He was very familiar with Bryan Clay's goals and desires.
Once established, David worked tirelessly to get charity activities underway to support the foundation's mission. Even when competing agendas were introduced to sway Bryan and his mission, David rolled with it and kept everything together. Eventually everything became a cohesive goal, and David was the true coordinator.
David was the back bone that allowed Bryan Clay to excel in his charitable work. He is an unsung hero who works tirelessly towards a goal to assuredly achieve it.
David is dedicated and hardworking. You've heard "going the extra mile..." Well David goes the extra 10 miles. He exceeds even the highest expectations and is a consummate professional. I would work with him any time he asks. I'm looking for another project so that we can work together again, SOON!

Simply put David has resuscitated my non-profit start-up idea. I was receiving a great response to the idea but the high personal investment coupled with no return was beginning to strain my psyche. David really changed that for me.
A 20 minute schedule meeting quickly turned into 60 as David carefully and methodically walked me through every positive aspect of the business and areas that could use improvements. After a great review he asked me clear and concise questions to get a better idea of the direction of the non-profit. Together we brainstormed 4-6 ideas that could be implemented right now and if done properly would result in a self sustaining non-profit company in as little as 3 months. The best advice from David I received was how to implement structure, processes, and the development of a task list to ensure my success. Now I feel as the only way I would not be successful is if I tried to fail.
I recommend anyone looking to bring growth or structure to their organization to have a conversation with David for his knowledge, insight, and ability to creatively solve problems using out of the box thinking is priceless.

One day I got a message on Facebook from David saying (and I quote),
"Dear Emily,
Just want you to know I've read a number of your blog posts over the past year or so and I really appreciate how raw, transparent, and authentic you are. Would love to have coffee sometime to help you further your career and encourage you in any way I can. Let me know if I can be of service."
That last line is key to understanding who David is as a human being and as a businessman. From the moment we met, he constantly asked me how he could be of service. In our first meeting he spent three hours asking me questions about my interests and my career goals. He listened, and by listening helped me to discover that my favorite part of an internship I’d had at the time was giving feedback to writers whose scripts I had read. He gave me the idea to start a script consulting business to generate income for myself using a skill I already possessed and a passion I’d already developed. He also told me to start a blog, not only to drive traffic to my website for the script consulting business, but to bring free advice to others (this is David’s pass-it-forward philosophy in action), as well as to use the blog as a networking tool: each post is an article about one particular Hollywood professional: a producer, a director, a cinematographer, etc. I started with two contacts I already knew and soon it snowballed -- they would suggest friends they knew, who in turn would suggest friends they knew. When I posted my articles, not only would my friends see it, but the person I’d interviewed would re-post it and all of their friends would see it. I’ve actually gotten freelance work because a friend of someone I interviewed saw the post and liked my writing style.
David understood the domino effect this simple, easy little project would have for me. And all of this happened because David paid attention, saw an untapped opportunity, gave me action steps to implement it, checked in with me to keep me on track, and offered advice for improvement at every step of the way. I get a phone call from David almost every other week with a new idea for the blog, or a new idea for marketing my script consulting business. And what truly sets David apart from other savvy business people is that he is invested in me not only as a client, but as a friend. Because of David, I am now writing the script to a short film with a $100,000 budget.
I could go on for pages describing how David has positively impacted my life and my career, but I’ll try and sum it up with this: he is honest, he is savvy, and he is compassionate to the bottom of his soul. If you work with David, I guarantee you will not regret it. If you don’t believe me, send me a message on Linked In: E.R. Womelsduff.
But give David five minutes of your time and you won’t have to talk to me to understand what kind of person David is.

I had the privilege of meeting David a year back when I served him and his brother at a restaurant where I have been working at for the past four years. At the end of the evening, David had asked me about my life and where I would want to go in the short term.
In simple conversation, he learned about my passion for working with children. David had left a note in the bill slip explaining that he would love to assist me in helping achieve my calling and would be honored to help me get on a good path. A year later (last week), after I quit playing tennis in hopes of finding a steady job and moving forward towards my future, I messaged David and asked him if his offer was still on the table. He got back to me right away and gave me a list of things to do in order to get started on my journey.
David and I met up for lunch today. He asked me a lot of questions to figure out what my passion is. He listened carefully and took notes on everything that would be a possible job opportunity. Together we built an entire strategy to help me launch an after school math tutoring service and weekend custom nail painting service to help pay for my quarterly college expenses and monthly living expenses.
I came home today feeling absolutely amazed and astonished that there are good people like David out in the world who are trying to help people find their path in life. He truly is an amazing guy with a caring heart who wants to help people find their niche, enjoy what they do, and get them started in their life journey. He is extremely smart and knows a lot about business. He's given me an amazing opportunity with starting my own business, and I am so thankful for him!
Today, I begin an exciting new venture and owe it all to David and his company, DEPIII, Inc. He has done me a great service and I look forward to working with him in the future as I continue to move forward with my plans.
Thanks David! It's been a pleasure :)
